Please read this message carefully and complete the steps below in order to avoid delays in your recertification.
Required Recertification Steps (Complete in Order)
1. FireRescue1 Review
Log into FireRescue1 and confirm that all Monthly Medic videos are complete, including any items listed in the Past Due section.
2. coned.site Verification
Verify that all assigned requirements are complete on coned.site, including:
Monthly Medic videos
Core Classes
Field Training
Be sure to check both trackers:

2025–2026
When checking the tracker remember to click on "Name" first then look for your name
3. MIEMSS Courses and Individual Contact Hours
Ensure that all required MIEMSS courses and Individual Contact Hours are complete.
You are required to enter 11.75 additional Individual Contact Hours. These hours may be completed through FireRescue1 by following these steps:
Log into FireRescue1
Select Training
Select All Courses
In the search bar, type CAPCE and press Enter
Select CAPCE Approved to view eligible courses
4. Enter Courses into NREMT
Enter all completed courses into your NREMT account, following the instructions provided on the PDI website:

Important notes:
When entering information into your NREMT account, please be sure to upload your course certificates. Uploading certificates allows me to verify your training remotely and significantly reduces stress and delays if your account is audited by NREMT.
DO NOT enter any of the following courses into your NREMT account:
Any Monthly Medic videos sponsored by MCFRS
Any Field Training sponsored by MCFRS
Any Core Class sponsored by MCFRS
Grand Rounds sponsored by MCFRS
Annual Training Sponsored by MCFRS
The above courses are entered by PDI staff in Step 6.
If your application is rejected for corrections, please address the required items as soon as possible and email me once corrections are complete so your recertification can continue without unnecessary delay.
5. Recertification JotForm Submission
Once all steps above are complete, submit the Recertification JotForm
This form notifies PDI staff that you are ready for review and are requesting a voucher.
PDI staff cannot issue a voucher or certificate until all steps are completed.
6. PDI Training Hours Applied
Once verified, PDI staff will apply 40 training hours to your NREMT account as follows:
National Component – 30 hours
Airway: 6 hours
Cardiology: 7 hours
Medical: 8 hours
Operations: 4 hours
Trauma: 5 hours
Individual: 3.25 hours
State and Local: 6.75 hours
7. Communication
Once your steps are complete, please monitor your email (including Spam and Junk) for a message from manager.alspd@gmail.com. Emails from this address will contain information regarding your next steps in the recertification process.
Important Dates
The recertification process opened January 5, 2026.
The process will close February 26, 2026, allowing Dr. Stone adequate time to review and approve or deny applications.
Once you receive your renewed NREMT card, please remember to log into the MIEMSS website to renew your Maryland State card as well.
If your NREMT expires in March 2026, your Maryland State card will expire in April 2026.

Do I enter Monthly Medic videos into NREMT?
No. Monthly Medic videos, Core Class, Field Training, Annual Skills, and Grand Rounds are entered by PDI staff.
Do I need to upload certificates into NREMT?
Yes. Uploading certificates allows remote verification and reduces delays if NREMT audits your account.
What happens if my application is rejected before it reaches Dr. Stone?
Correct the identified issues immediately and email jonn.mack@montgomerycountymd.gov once corrections are complete.
Can I submit the JotForm before everything is done?
No. The JotForm will not process incomplete submissions.
What counts as Individual Contact Hours?
CAPCE-approved courses completed outside of PDI-Sponsored training.
Do ACLS and PALS count?
Yes. ACLS and PALS may count toward Individual Contact Hours.
When is the deadline?
The recertification process closes February 26, 2026.
Do I need to renew my Maryland card separately?
Yes. After renewing NREMT, log into MIEMSS to renew your State card.
